I Should Wear My Jacket

ahh okay, so i didn't blog  at all yesterday, MY BAD, but do you understand the day i had, the stress, the work, the hassle, and no bustle, and just to top it up...the god dam cold. If anything memorable was said yesterday (and only memorable for the sheer amount of times it was said), it was "you should really wear a jacket more", although only said by two people (well three if you count me talking to myself) it was still said enough times and trust me I AGREE.
i woke up in the usual fashion (unwillingly), and got my beautiful self ready for what i was expecting to be an exciting and enlightening day, and i was not let down. After the daily hustle (this time for a fiver off Graeme who im staying with, i paid him back the same night don't worry) i made my way out and off to Cambridge station and i must say i turned heads ;), dress code of a god dam beast i tell ya (sex beast that is). i done the usual business buying a ticket and all that.....ah you know what even im boring myself
BASICALLY I GOT A TRAIN TO LONDON, there done explanation, the real interesting thing is why i was in London....and now i get to brag :D
basically, my talented self was nominated for an award recently and being the great guy i am, i erm WON :), i would bore you with the detail of the award but to be honest i myself dont really know, all i know is its ran by "The Key Club" and i was nominated by the GREAT Liza Ward (previously Vallance), and my prize for winning was that i get to be mentored and helped by two professionals in different fields on how to progress in my chosen career which, as some of you would know, is poetry and rapping but im just down for the general entertainment thing, i love to make people happy i do :D.
sooooo yeah...i need to stop dragging this out don't i....see this is why i like the whole video blog thing like yeah i can just talk and not have to think bout what im saying and then type like the effort damm, but i love you all so it's cool.
well so after wasting more time complaining..(MY BAD), back to subject...my mentors
well my first mentor who is my mentor in a professional field like direct mentor, is, (DRUM ROLL PLEASE)....Mimi Poskitt, don't worry i was un educated about her till recently as well, but i tell you she's a great woman (im not just saying that cause there's a chance she may see this :P)
well let me educate, Mimi is the artistic director behind the "look left look right" production and is also a multi award winning director who specialises in issues in the current climate, yes she's that hard.
The second expert who is my "business friend" is a (I'd say drum roll but that dont seem to cut it..erm *rolling red carpet*....i think we need a band here) Mr John Pluthero...GOOGLE that name i cant explain how madly sick this guy is like dam he's done a lot...ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
i apologise for my moment of insanity there...let me educate some of you on this man's achievements, he was the youngest CEO in the FTSE 100 (im talking money mayynneee), he's now currently chairman of Cable&Wireless WORLDWIDE and gawsh he has a 18 year old daughter with her own business that's turning over 7-6grand a month, now tell me are you not impressed, cause i'm god dam mind blown.
And these are the two wonderful people i had a meeting with yesterday, so lil to say cool and collectiveness was not exactly oozing from my essence but hay.
Right so after realising i bought the wrong sort of ticket and had to hustle my way out of Hammersmith station (my ticket wasn't valid for underground trains...PISSED), i met up with Mimi who was waiting for me outside the station, just on the other side, so we had to do the whole wave and spot thing...fun times :) (she waved i spotted). Luckily she was as unsure as i was bout where Johns office building was, and unlike me she called in to explain we would both be late (i had no calling credit DAM)
So yeah we casually strolled across Hammersmith road (casually meaning mad speed walking in this case) and   fount our way into our destination. I was impressed from the get go, i mean just yeah not only the people i was with just everything was wow, the office itself was just nice....well it was normal but i was still in a state of like shock so yeah i was just smiling like a mad man at everything, i most probably freaked someone out...but ah-well (by the way..LUPE FIASCO-DUMB IT DOWN...currently playing you should check it out damm)...so yeah trail of thought went for a second..were was i *scrolls up*
ahh yeah THE MEETING
i was greeted by Johns PA...i actually forgot her name (MY BAD) buh yeah she offered me a sandwich i refused claiming i was "okay", after two minuets in the meeting and John being quite persuasive i was ordering a chicken sandwich, and i tell you i enjoyed that sandwich.
To be honest i dont want to bore you with the details of the meeting, basically we talked about ourselves for a bit, then i "pitched" myself to John and yeah the usual, and at the end i gave them a lil performance of words and needless to say i impressed :D (wooo)
However , there was one very memorable thing that John said that was just amazing and slyly inspired me and got me thinking...we was talking about experience in work and all that stuff and he came out with
"i know people who have been in the business for 40years, but they don't have 40years of experience. The have 1years experience that is 40years old" now tell me that aint amazing, and it got me thinking...i need to make the best outa this maynee (which i will).
so yeah meeting was good, and before leaving, John gave me he's business card and told me to call any time which was just like wow for me, i felt privileged in all honesty, and he also showed me one of the abstract paintings in he's conference room (was nice)
so yeah took a stroll back to Hammersmith station with Mimi...
oh i forgot..on both the walk to the meting and also to Hammersmith station, Mimi "suggested" to me, about 5 times in total, that i should really get a jacket, she was right though i was FREEZING...but hay i never learn..on the plus side...i looked sexy ;P
soo yeah Mimi went her way...and i had to again bargin myself in the station, it wasnt so easy this time (attempts on 2 different entrances and 40mins of shit)...but finally i fount myself in Liverpool street station..were i had another hustle to get on another train...trust me i was VEX...but yes finally i was on my way to Chadwell Heath and then Rose lane (Marks Gate)
BUUUUTTT...i swear i saw TEMPA T on the train ...but i flopped and didnt even approach, mad depressing
but yeah im rambling once more...back to the main point, from Chadwell Heath i trotted and i mean TREKED         to Rose Lane den kizzles den yeah same old...jammed with the dons (i will introduce them at one point don't worry) i would like go into details of what gwaned at studio but well it realy isnt relivant (LIKE HALF OF THIS POST lol)...but the main bit is when i was walkign down to the shops with one of my closest bruddas Lippy (check him out www.youtube.com/vexkid) and he for god knows what reason came out with, "fam you should wear a jacket"...i stopped at that moment just for a split second, laughed to myself a bit and just said..."yeah i know"...mad aint it
after a nice lil munch session at the bus stop (im talking feasting out) i finally made my way back to Chadwell Heath (using lippy s oyster this time..threw it back out the bus after lol) and yeah from Chad to Liverpool street stn and got my train back to Cambridge from there....NICE
As you can imagine i was wore out (like half of you must be reading this) and well yeah i was conked out on that train, aint slept that well in a while i must say :P
after being woken form my slumber, i walk off the train to be greeted by the breeze from HELL, and no it wasn't hot, i was freezing and after a long stroll back to were im currently staying, i stood at the tip of the door and thought to myself...."I Should Have Wore A Jacket".

im sorry for the long arse post..P.s this is now Thursday 11th so as you can tell i slacked two days in a row, but dont worry Wednesday was nothing special so you missed nothing, also ill upload the video to go with this written blog in 2days max, and ill also be introducing something special for ya'll :)
